Cynthia Laws Calloway is a professional storyteller specializing in stories of American and African American sheros and heroes for adults young in heart. She not only tell stories, she also conducts storytelling slams and workshops to help you tell your stories.
Cynthia is a retired Oklahoma Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and has worked with survivors of the 1995 Murrah Building Bombing, May 3 tornado, the 9/11 terror attack and many other tragedies.
She has a BA in English Literature, a Master’s in Education: Guidance and Counseling and a seminary Master’s of Arts in Ministry and Culture.
Cynthia is a graduate of General Electric Company’s Corporation Employee Relations (Human Relations) Management Program and has served as a consultant to other corporate, educational, technology and nonprofit companies.
Cynthia is a member of the National Storytelling Network, the National Association of Black Storytellers and was the former president of Oklahoma Territory Tellers Organization.
Cynthia’s stories are educational, spiritual and emotionally provocative. As she is a lover of Old Negro Spirituals, you may hear her sing some of those songs in her stories.
